 abstract={The aim of studies was to evaluate what forms of sports and recreational activity are implemented by physical education teachers at different levels of school education in rural and urban schools of Podkarpackie Voivodeship and what difficulties prevent the teacher from implementing the basic curriculum from the subject of physical education. The researches (questionnaire) covered 1032 physical education teachers employed in rural schools and 773 physical education teachers working in urban schools in Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The studies included schools of varying sizes: up to 100 pupils, from 100 to 300 pupils and over 300 pupils. The majority of teachers complain about the conditions in a certain school. The biggest problem that prevents the implementation of the basic curriculum from physical education in rural and urban schools in Podkarpackie Voivodeship is the combination of classes and conducting lessons in co-educational groups. The performed analysis showed that teachers usually implement team sports and athletics.},
