Artykuł podejmuje temat wstydu jako ważnego tropu interpretacyjnego dla powieści Gombrowicza w kontekście filozofii Georges’a Bataille’a i Jean-Paul Sartre’a. Poczynając od tytułu, będącego zamierzoną prowokacją, poprzez aluzje i niedopowiedzenia autor konsekwentnie odwołuje się do wyobraźni czytelnika w celu konstruowania potencjalnie obscenicznych treści. Główni bohaterowie, chcąc doprowadzić do erotycznego zbliżenia dwojga młodocianych, sami dają się uwieść ich młodości. Fascynacja niedojrzałością jako wartością oddolną, „niską”, jest źródłem wstydliwej rozkoszy: wstyd jako poczucie naruszenia zakazu i zarazem sygnał transgresji stanowi wg Bataille’a kluczowy warunek zaistnienia przyjemności. Jednocześnie wstyd występuje w powieści jako podstawowe doświadczenie egzystencjalne, pojawiające się za sprawą świadomości bycia obiektem spojrzenia Innego, która wciąż towarzyszy bohaterom – ten wątek sytuuje twórczość Gombrowicza w orbicie filozofii francuskiego egzystencjalizmu.

The article explores the shame as an important interpretative approach for Gombrowicz's novel in the context of the philosophy of Georges Bataille and Jean-Paul Sartre. Beginning with the provocative title, through allusions and understatements, the author consistently appeals to the reader's imagination in order to construct potentially obscene content. The main characters, wanting to provoke an erotic act between two adolescents, allow themselves to be seduced by their youth. The fascination with immaturity as a bottom-up, ‘low’ value is a source of shameful pleasure: shame as a sense of violation of the prohibition and at the same time a signal of transgression is, due to Bataille, a key condition for the occurrence of pleasure. At the same time, shame appears in the novel as a basic existential experience, emerging through the awareness of being the object of the gaze of the Other, which constantly accompanies the protagonists - this theme situates Gombrowicz's work in the orbit of the philosophy of French existentialism.

Der Artikel macht die Emotion der Scham zum wichtigen Interpretationsansatz für den Roman Pornographie von Witold Gombrowicz im Hinblick auf die Philosophie von Georges Bataille und Jean-Paul Sartre. Angefangen mit dem gezielt provokativen Titel, über zahlreiche Anspielungen und Zweideutigkeiten bis hin zu bedeutungsschweren Ellipsen verlässt sich der Autor konsequent auf die Vorstellungskraft des Lesers, der selber potentiell obszöne Inhalte konstruieren müsste. Die Hauptprotagonisten wollen zwei Jugendliche zum erotischen Akt führen und lassen sich schließlich selbst von ihrer Jugend verführen. Die Faszination für die Unreife, die als eine niedere, von unten kommende Kraft empfunden wird, bildet die Quelle der schamvollen Lust – die Scham, als das Gefühl der Verbotsübertretung und zugleich der Transgression ist nach Bataille eine unverzichtbare Voraussetzung für die Lust. Gleichzeitig erscheint die Scham im Roman als eine grundlegende existentielle Erfahrung, die dank des Bewusstseins zustande kommt, dass man für den Blick des Anderen ein Objekt ist. Dieses Motiv rückt Gombrowiczs Werk – wie in dem Artikel aufgezeigt wird – in die Nähe des französischen Existentialismus.
