Jana Długosza w Częstochowie The paper discusses the development of sport for the disabled on the territory of the częstochowskie province existing in the years 1975–1998. The content of the text relates to activities of the Inter-Cooperative Centre of Sport, Rehabilitation, Tourism and Recreation of the Sports Association “Start” established on 17 November 1975 and the Provincial Sports Association of Labour Cooperatives “Start” set up on 27 January 1976. The article also outlines successful performances of disabled sportspeople from the province of częstochowskie. Były to sukcesy zarówno w imprezach ogólnopolskich, jak i międzynarodowych.
